The Town of Christiansburg will hold a location and design public hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 4-7 p.m., to present proposed plans for Phase III of the Huckleberry Trail Extension. In summary, this phase connects to the existing trail behind the Member One Credit Union building, extends across Oak Tree Boulevard and through the existing Oak Tree Community, then follows the exterior boundary of Christiansburg High School, along North Franklin Street and Independence Boulevard. The purpose of the meeting is to give residents an opportunity to review the project alignment, meet with Town representatives, and provide input. This will be an open-house format meeting, and the Town Engineering Department will be available to answer any questions. Residents may provide oral and written comments at the hearing or submit them by Nov. 6 to Wayne Nelson, P.E., Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073 or via email at email@example.com.
