  1. Pitch, Hit and Run Competition

    April 21, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Harkrader Sports Complex

    This event is part of the first Annual Opening Day Festival. Event is sponsored by Major League Baseball and Scotts Turf. Boys and girls ages 7-14 are eligible. Event consists of six attempts to pitch a ball at a target for points, three swings off a tee for distance and accuracy, and a timed run from second base to home plate. Winners advance to a sectional competition with the opportunity to move on to a major league game and possibly the all-star competitions.

  2. Youth Baseball/Softball Opening Day

    April 21, 9:00 AM @ Harkrader Sports Complex

    This event is being done to celebrate America's National Pastime, along with signal the beginning of the youth baseball/softball season. This event will have a small carnival feel. There will be games, concessions, a parade of teams, and guest speaker, among other fun activities. Each Christiansburg team will also play its first regular season game on this date.

  1. Spring Cleanup

    April 14, 8:00 AM - April 27, 5:00 PM

    Spring Cleanup will be held April 14-27! To make it easier on our collection crews, please place cleanup items within 10 feet of the street pavement and separate them from your regular trash. Please also separate materials by type (i.e. Pile bagged leaves, tree limbs and trimmings in separate piles). Please do not block drainage ditches, gutters, sidewalks, water meters or sewer cleanouts. Though special collection trucks follow regular garbage routes, cleanup may run a day or two behind trash collection schedules, depending on volume. If it is nearing the end of the clean-up cycle and your materials have not been collected, please call (540) 382-1151.
