During the week of June 19, a contractor will be marking the new pavement in the downtown area and on Depot Street.

While road closures are not expected, the work may cause some traffic delays.

On Monday, June 19, crews will be taking measurements and determining the marking layout. This work should not cause traffic delays, but there may be minimal, temporary interruptions.

On Tuesday, June 20, and Wednesday, June 21, crews will be marking the pavement on:
  • Depot Street, from Roanoke Street to Lester Street
  • East Main Street, from Roanoke Street to Town Square
  • South Franklin Street, from Town Square to First Street
On Thursday, June 22, and Friday, June 23, crews will be marking the pavement on:
  • East Main Street, from Roanoke Street to Franklin Street
  • South Franklin Street, from Town Square to First Street
Again, the marking work may cause temporary traffic delays, but lane closures are not anticipated.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
