    October 5, 2019, 8:00 AM - October 18, 2019, 5:00 PM

The Town of Christiansburg will host the semi-annual Fall Cleanup from Oct. 5 through Oct. 18. During this time, the Town will collect special items placed out at the curb at no cost to the resident. These special materials must be placed out on the resident's regular garbage collection day. (Note: The special collection trucks may run behind schedule due to volume but will attempt to follow the regular solid waste pickup schedule.) While there is no charge for items picked up during this time, there will be a charge assessed for items placed out after Oct. 18. Visit www.christiansburg.org/cleanupFAQ for a list of acceptable items that may be placed out at this time.

  2. Potential Town Council Quorum: RALLY Grant Meeting

    October 9, 2019, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Opportunity SWVA has selected Christiansburg, Virginia as one of the communities for the next round of RALLY. The second meeting about this grant will take place at Great Road on Main in Christiansburg on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. The meeting will consist of analyzing crucial aspects of the community and what RALLY (Real Action Leadership Learning [YAY!]) can do for the community. The community is invited to attend and share ideas for a project in Christiansburg. Rally SWVA is an action learning program that not only offers funds for a visible project but encourages local leaders and the community to work together toward a common goal. The $3,000 mini-grant program enables communities to work together on selecting a project that advances the community vision and enhances the environment for entrepreneurs. There may be a quorum of Christiansburg Town Council members present at the event. No Town of Christiansburg official action will be taken, but Town business may be discussed.
