  1. Take 60 on Hickok Street

    June 7, 2019, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Spend your Friday lunch breaks on Hickok Street in downtown Christiansburg! Get out of the office and enjoy lawn games and music, while taking 60 minutes - or however long you can spare - outside. Bring your own or grab lunch from a local restaurant before heading to Hickok. Seating will be set up on Hickok Street, from noon to roughly 1 p.m. (we won't rush you off while you're chowing down)! If you print the flyer at www.christiansburg.org/take60 or show the image on your phone to the folks at Mockingbird Cafe & Bakery, you'll get a free bag lunch upgrade (buy a sandwich and get a free drink and cookie or cupcake). Do the same at Macado's and receive 10% off any lunch meal. At El Bronco Mexican Bar & Grill, you can get a free drink with the purchase of any lunch meal. We'll see you downtown!

  1. Monthly Brush Collection - North Quadrant

    June 3, 2019, 8:00 AM - June 7, 2019, 4:30 PM

The Town of Christiansburg offers complimentary curbside brush collection to all residential properties within town limits. Residents must have brush piles placed out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of their collection week, which is based on your address. Please visit www.christiansburg.org/brush to find out your collection week. For this service, brush is defined as tree limbs/logs from trimming or pruning trees. All collected brush must pass through a wood chipper, so the following will not be accepted: leaves, weeds, grass clippings, vines, other yard waste and construction materials. These items can be collected during Spring/Fall cleanup or by scheduling a special pickup through the Public Works department. Please visit www.christiansburg.org/brush to learn about more requirements for brush collection.
