Do I Need A Business License?
Getting Started
A simple way to know if you need a license or not is to ask yourself, "Will I be charging individuals or companies a fee for what I will be providing them?" If the answer is yes, then you will need a business license. The amount of the business license fee is based on your total gross receipts before deductions or exclusions.

Pick a Location
To get started, you will need to have a location for the business as the Town cannot issue a business license without having a physical address. The address where the business will operate from will have to comply with the Town's ordinances.

Home Occupations
If the physical address for the business is your home address, you must first apply for a Home Occupation. The approval will be carried out by the Planning and Zoning Department. After being approved, you may now purchase a business license.
