Miller & Alleghany Project

The Miller & Alleghany project was approved in the F.Y. 2010-11 annual budget as part of the Town's long term capital improvements program.

The project involves excavating street pavement, installing new sewer and water lines and installing new residential water and sewer connections to the street right-of-way line for approximately 100 customers in the area of Miller & Alleghany Streets.

The area near Miller & Alleghany Streets was selected for upgrades to service lines because the sewer lines were constructed in the mid-1930's as part of the town's original sewer system.

The project cost approximately $451,000 for water and sewer line materials, as well as a paving contract.  All additional labor was provided by town crews and budgeted separately.
