18th Annual 4th of July Celebration

Time: Festival is 10am-4pm, Fireworks start around 9:15pm
Location: Festival is on Main St.
Location:  Fireworks are at Christiansburg High Football Field
Fee: No admission charge       Vendor Application
Additional Information: We will be having a festival on Main St in Christiansburg from 10am-4pm.  We will have vendors, music, kid’s area, etc.  To become a vendor go to www.christiansburg.org/recreation for the vendor application.  At approximately 9:15pm that night come to Christiansburg High School Football Field to watch one of the area’s biggest firework shows. Sorry No Pets Allowed.  If we have to go to the rain date there will only be fireworks at the football, no festival.

Montgomery Museum Heritage Day
Date:  August 27, 2016

Location:  Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center
300 Pepper Street in Christiansburg
Additional Information:  Come and experience the past on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Montgomery Museum and Lewis Miller Regional Art Center Heritage Day. The popular annual event featuring interesting exhibits of traditional skills and crafts, antique tools, machinery, cars, and engines. Enjoy live music all day and meet re-enactors from Civil War times. Dance and learn traditional games with the representatives of the Smithfield Junior Guild. Bring your children who can build a birdhouse (to keep), paint wooden animals, make animal tracks, enjoy a scavenger hunt in the garden, engage in a leather work and a pottery project and more. Explore the world of insects and other live creatures. There will be vendors, regional artists, lunch for purchase and ice cream.  The museum galleries are open all day.  Contact: 382-5644 for more information.

43rd Annual Kiwanis Wilderness Trail Festival
