Facility Rules
  • Patrons must conduct themselves in an orderly and appropriate manner.
  • Food and drinks are only allowed in the lobby, sun deck, or party rooms. Food, drinks or gum are not allowed in the pool area and locker rooms. The only exception is water. Glass containers are not allowed in the facility.
  • All patrons must enter and leave through the main entrance.
  • Pets are not permitted in the facility except assistance dogs. Assistance dogs are not allowed in the pool.
  • The Christiansburg Aquatic Center is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Members and guests are fully responsible for personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. Items will be stored for a period of seven days and will either be discarded or donated to charity thereafter.
  • Children of opposite gender over the age of four needing assistance must use the family changing rooms.
  • Running, horseplay, fighting, profane language, or loitering is prohibited.
  • Alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted on Town of Christiansburg property.
  • Bathing suits must be worn in the pool. Thongs, cut-off jeans, jeans, black T-shirts will not be allowed.
  • Children 11 years old or younger must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Suspension from the Christiansburg Aquatic Center may also include suspension from all Christiansburg Parks and Recreation facilities and programs.
  • Christiansburg Aquatic Center will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged bicycles (including components).
  • Gambling / wagering of any form is prohibited.
  • No skateboards, roller skates, in-line skates, Heelys or any other kind of roller shoes may be used on sidewalks or inside the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
  • Individuals are not permitted to use the center for personal gain. All individual lessons (personal trainers, therapists, swim, etc.) must have written permission from the director.
  • Recording devices (still cameras, video cameras, etc.) or interviewing within the facility must be approved by the director prior to use.
  • Cell phone use is strictly prohibited in activity areas and locker rooms. If you must use your cell phone in the Christiansburg Aquatic Center please use the hallways or lobby areas to place and receive calls.
  • All emergencies or injuries must be reported to the manager on duty.
  • No signs, posters, advertisements, or decorations may be placed in the Center without approval from facility management.
  • We reserve the right to suspend participation as the result of behavior problems that disrupt programs and/or participants.
  • Theft of personal property belonging to another individual, or property of the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, or anyone aiding in such theft, will receive a minimum of one-year suspension from the Christiansburg Aquatic Center and the police will be notified.
  • Threatening, abusive, or indecent language or actions toward Christiansburg Aquatic Center Staff will result in a minimum of one-year suspension from the Christiansburg Aquatic Center and programs.
  • The director of aquatics has the authority to revoke individual’s privileges of using the Christiansburg Aquatic Center for any length of time for violations of the rules and regulations. Suspensions may vary according to his/her discretion and the severity of the offense. Suspension may be increased or made permanent if an individual repeats an offense or attempts to enter the Christiansburg Aquatic Center while under suspension.
