Dear Friends:
Christiansburg Parks and Recreation exists to promote and implement leisure programs and services that enhance the quality of life for all ages. In partnership with the community, we strive to deliver quality leisure programs in a personal, effective, and successful manner. Our staff sincerely appreciates your support, and it is with great pleasure that we serve you. Participation at the Christiansburg Recreation Center, and in the programs we offer, illustrates the importance of recreation to the community. We hope that our facilities and programs assist you and your family with ways to enjoy your valuable leisure time.
The Christiansburg Recreation Center offers a variety of programs that provide something for everyone whether you want to get fit with one of our many fitness classes, get your heart pumping in our nautilus room, or lift weights in the weight room. Come play an intense game of racquetball, or shoot some hoops on one of our four full basketball courts. Maybe you want to simply walk on the indoor 1/8 mile walking track. Check out our many children's programs from toddler Diaper Gym to youth wrestling, gymnastics, ballet, and art. Our youth athletic programs include basketball, baseball, and wrestling. Looking for an athletic program for yourself? Join one of our volleyball, softball, or basketball leagues. Over age 50? We invite you to relax in our senior's lounge, or challenge a friend to a game of billiards. Take advantage of our various educational classes and health screenings. Join an aerobics class, or come along on one of our destination trips.
Did you know ... Christiansburg will be the host of the 2010 Dixie Boys World Series? Read more about this honor here ...
It is through the support of Christiansburg Town Council, Christiansburg Town Administration, and Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission that we have the excellent facilities and programs to enjoy for our leisure pursuits. Thanks to all
of them, Christiansburg is truly "progressive small town living at its best".
We hope to see you soon.
Sincerely,
Art Price, CPRP
