Christmas on Main
Each December, the Town holds its annual Christmas at the Market, Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christmas Parade.
Dec. 10 on Main Street from 5-9 p.m.
Christiansburg Farmers' Market vendors, local crafters and food vendors will be set up along Main Street. All other vendors not in these areas are not sanctioned by the Town as part of the event.
2021 Tree Lighting
Dec. 10 in Town Square at 6:55 p.m.
A ceremonial tree lighting ceremony with the Mayor will still take place in Town Square, with a special guest appearance.
Dec. 10 on Main Street at 7 p.m.
The theme for this year's parade is "Lights and Bells Merry Christmas." If you would like to have a float in the parade, please turn in the Christmas Parade Registration Form to the recreation center by Friday, November 19 at 5 p.m. If you have any questions concerning the parade, please contact Rachel Vinson at (540) 382-2349 ext. 2021.
Please note that, in order to prepare for the parade, there will be no parking on Main Street after 2 p.m. on the day of the parade. There will be temporary closures of Main Street from 3-4 p.m. so that crews can place out the pedestrian barricades for the parade. After the barricades are out, the street will reopen until 5 p.m. At 5 p.m., the parade route and the staging area will close.
