Spend your Friday lunch breaks on Hickok Street in downtown Christiansburg! Get out of the office and enjoy lawn games and music, while taking 60 minutes - or however long you can spare - outside. Bring your own or grab lunch from a local restaurant before heading to Hickok. Seating will be set up on Hickok Street, from noon to roughly 1 p.m. (we won't rush you off while you're chowing down)!
If you print the flyer at www.christiansburg.org/take60 or show the image on your phone to the folks at Mockingbird Cafe & Bakery, you'll get a free bag lunch upgrade (buy a sandwich and get a free drink and cookie or cupcake). Do the same at Macado's and receive 10% off any lunch meal. At El Bronco Mexican Bar & Grill, you can get a free drink with the purchase of any lunch meal. We'll see you downtown!

The Town of Christiansburg offers complimentary curbside brush collection to all residential properties within town limits. Residents must have brush piles placed out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of their collection week, which is based on your address. Please visit www.christiansburg.org/brush to find out your collection week.
For this service, brush is defined as tree limbs/logs from trimming or pruning trees. All collected brush must pass through a wood chipper, so the following will not be accepted: leaves, weeds, grass clippings, vines, other yard waste and construction materials. These items can be collected during Spring/Fall cleanup or by scheduling a special pickup through the Public Works department.
Please visit www.christiansburg.org/brush to learn about more requirements for brush collection.
