  • The Town can pick these items up throughout the year by billing the customer $25 per load plus the land fill tipping fee. However, the Town picks up such items twice yearly, between the first and third Saturday during April and October, and at no charge for Town residents only.

  • Please call the Town office at (540) 382-9519. Additionally, if your solid waste pickup day is on a Town observed holiday, please check the News & Announcement portion of the Town website located on the homepage here or view the Town’s Facebook page for changes in solid waste collection due to observed holidays. The Solid Waste Holiday Schedule is here but is subject to change.

  • If you would like to notify the town of a traffic light outage, missing road sign, pothole, blocked drainage ditch, etc. please fill out the Request for Service Form.

  • Spring and Fall Clean Up takes place during the months of April and October (approximate). Be sure to check the Town website and utility bill inserts for specific dates. Residents may still dispose of materials in the following ways: 1) Call 382-6120 to schedule a pickup of your materials at a cost of $25 per truckload, plus an additional landfill tipping fee. This service is available year-round 2) Haul the items directly to the Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority, located at 555 Authority Dr. (www.mrswa.com)

  • Town of Christiansburg offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. To report an after hours maintenance emergency like a water main break or sewerage stoppage, please call our regional dispatch office at 540-382-4343. If you need to report a power outage, please call AEP at 1-800-956-4237. Always call 911 in an emergency.

  • Appalachian Power maintains the majority of streetlights throughout town. If you notice that a street light is not working properly, please note the address of the light, as well as the pole number, if available. Please then report this outage to Appalachian Power online at: www.appalachianpower.com/outages. The Town does maintain the street lights in downtown Christiansburg (with the green poles). Should you notice any of these lights not working properly, please call the Engineering Department at (540) 382-6120 or Public Works at (540) 382-1151.
