Chrisman Mill Crossing Improvements

This project will improve safety and visibility by realigning the road as it approaches the railroad crossing. Work includes construction of a new roadway alignment to provide a better approach angle to the crossing as well as crossing upgrades.  The crossing will include a median and improvements by Norfolk Southern.  Funding is primarily from VDOT and federal sources with a portion from the Town.

Construction began in late fall 2019 and was completed in May 2020.
