Hickok Street Improvements

Improvements are underway to portions of the downtown storm drainage system to reduce flooding under downtown businesses.  The project is currently under construction. Funding is provided through VDOT by Revenue Sharing, which is a dollar for dollar match from the Town. The current construction cost of this project is $4.4 million, with $2.2 million funded through VDOT.

UPDATE: Hickok St. will be closed between College St. and Main St. beginning Monday Feb. 3 and will remain closed until the project is complete. Traffic on College St. will be unaffected by this scheduled work.
