On Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon, there will be a road closure at the intersection of Hickok Street NW and West Main Street in Christiansburg to allow for utility work to be performed.
West Main Street will be reduced to one lane during this time. Hickok Street NW will be fully closed from West Main St. to Commerce Street NW.
Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan alternate routes if possible to avoid the closure. Any motorists choosing to go this route are advised to use caution, reduce speeds, and drive alertly through the work zone. There will be flaggers present to guide traffic safely through the work zone.
Pedestrian access will be maintained, but pedestrians should use extra care when walking near the intersection.
