The Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Montgomery County Regional Tourism office is excited to announce a free virtual workshop series to help ensure your online presence is in great shape. The webinar will be led by Miles Partnership, a strategic marketing company focused exclusively on travel and tourism.
There are two webinars being offered on Tuesday, April 9 and Tuesday April 16 at 10 a.m. both dates. The first presentation is more of an overview and general introduction, while the second highlights more advanced topics. Advance registration is required by visiting the signup page here.
While most business owners recognize the importance of a digital presence, it is now regarded as a necessity, no longer a luxury. Your Google Business Profile is the single largest source of organic (non-paid) exposure for your business online and maybe your first impression to potential customers.
According to David Rotenizer, executive director of the regional tourism program, “We are pleased to make this opportunity available to Montgomery County businesses, attractions, and interested residents” and “as more people turn to Google for area destination information, it is critical we meet with them with content expectations and delivery.” Rotenizer added, “Google also helps to populate our new virtual visitor center: https://vc-gotomontva.com/”.
This program is made available with funding through the American Rescue Plan Act Tourism Recovery Program (ARPA) administered by the Virginia Tourism Corporation.
