UPDATE: The contractor has extended the work on this project to today, July 22 through Tuesday, July 23. The working hours and lane closure remains the same.

Beginning Tuesday, July 16 through Wednesday, July 17, a contractor will be performing concrete curb and gutter work on Roanoke St., as part of the Dollar General development project. The work will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
During this time, the outside lane at 1340 Roanoke St. will be closed. The shoulder will remain closed during non-working hours.
Traffic control measures will be in place following Virginia Department of Transportation standards. Motorists should be aware of workers in the area, expect delays, and consider alternate routes if possible.
Please use caution, reduce speed, and stay alert when traveling through the work zone to ensure the safety of both workers and motorists.
