Beginning March 31, a portion of Main Street will be closed as part of the Hickok Street Drainage Project. The closure will be at the intersection of Hickok Street and is expected to last approximately 8 weeks, dependent on weather and/or potential delays. This work was not included in the original schedule by contractors but is a result of mid-project adjustments to maintain the integrity of the underground system. In conjunction with construction, these adjustments will help contractors maintain timely project completion while also better preserving underground structures. Pedestrian access will be designated throughout this phase of the project. Detours will be in place.
Once complete, Main Street will reopen until July 17. At this time the originally scheduled closure of Main Street will begin. As a reminder, Main Street will be closed July 17 through the completion of the project, expected in November 2025.
