Beginning Friday, June 6, the Town will conduct a leak detection survey of the water distribution system. This work supports the Town’s ongoing efforts to reduce water loss and maintain reliable water service. The work will occur at various times of day over the next three to four weeks.
During this timeframe, a contractor will use specialized acoustic equipment to identify potential leaks. The activity will take place within the public right-of-way or within public utility easements. Crews and vehicles will be clearly identifiable, and no digging or loud equipment will be used. Workers will be listening quietly along the water lines using non-invasive devices.
