The Town of Christiansburg has approved a traffic control plan for a lane closure on Stafford Drive between Peppers Ferry Road (Route 114) and Quin W. Stuart Boulevard. The closure is related to work on the Clifton Town Center development.
Construction is scheduled to begin the week of Oct. 2, 2025, and is expected to take about five days. Work hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Both lanes will reopen outside of those hours, though the shoulder may remain closed during the project.
Drivers should expect workers, heavy equipment and flagging operations in the area. Please allow extra travel time, use alternate routes when possible, and follow posted signs and flagger directions.
Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained, but brief delays are possible.
