UPDATE: As part of the Falling Branch Intersection Improvement Project, a new traffic signal at the intersection of Roanoke Street and Falling Branch Road is scheduled to be operational on Friday, Dec. 20. The signal was previously scheduled to be operational on Monday, Dec. 16, but was delayed due to weather conditions.
The signal will be flashing through the week before becoming fully operational. As a reminder, a flashing red light indicates drivers should stop and yield to other drivers before proceeding through the intersection. Drivers with a flashing yellow light should proceed slowly through the intersection without stopping but should use caution.
The contractor will be completing median work in the coming weeks, so the turn lanes on Roanoke Street will remain closed during this construction. Temporary striping will be in place until weather permits the contractor to place permanent striping.
