Beginning March 13 to March 20, construction will be taking place on South Franklin Street between First Street and Main Street as part of the Montgomery County Magistrate Project. Work hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During this two-week period, street parking spaces on the side of Franklin Street (adjacent to the construction site) will be closed to accommodate demolition work on two buildings. The construction team will make every effort to complete the work efficiently and reopen the parking spaces as soon as possible. The roadway itself will remain open to through traffic.
Temporary traffic control measures such as barricades, cones, and construction signage will be in place to safely guide vehicles around the work zone. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the opposite side of Franklin Street from the construction.
We appreciate the community's patience and cooperation during this time. Please exercise caution and allow extra travel time when passing through this area of South Franklin Street over the next two weeks.
