Beginning Sunday, May 12, a contracted paving company will be conducting nighttime paving work on the westbound lanes of Peppers Ferry Road, between Arbor Drive and Marshall Drive,
The work will take place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will continue through Thursday, May 16 during the first week of the project. After a brief pause, work will resume on the evening of Sunday, May 19, and is expected to conclude on Tuesday morning, May 21.
During the paving operations, the westbound lanes of Peppers Ferry Road (within the designated work zone) may be closed to traffic. Detours will be clearly marked, and motorists are advised to follow the posted signs and allow extra travel time during these nighttime hours.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution when traveling through the work zone and to be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment. Please slow down, obey all posted signs, and watch out for crews working on the roadway to ensure their safety.
