On Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024, a contractor will be performing asphalt paving work related to the LewisGale Free Standing Emergency Room construction project. The work will take place on College St. from 1220 College St. and 1145 College St. between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During this time, there will be a lane closure. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic safely through the work zone. Motorists should expect delays and plan their travel accordingly. For safety, drivers are urged to follow all flagger instructions and posted signage, reduce speed when approaching and traveling through the work zone and stay alert for workers and equipment in the area.
The construction is anticipated to take only one day, weather permitting.
